Equipment Process
Intake strainer -
removes oversize particulate from incoming water.
Pump -
draws in dirty water and sludge through a coarse strainer,
adds cleaning chemical and aerates, and spreads out the flow into the aeration
zone.
Aeration Zone -
combines coagulant and induced air with the contaminants.
Separation Zone -
Provides a slower moving, quiet area for the lighter
contaminants combined with air to rise quickly and the coagulated heavier
particles to sink quickly. The clean water is removed from the center
area.
Clean Water Area -
The clean water is collected and pumped out or can be
recirculated through the system for additional cleaning.
Sludge Collection Area -
Accumulated sludge from the upper sludge hopper and the
lower hopper is removed for disposal by a double diaphragm pump. |
